Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei… you’re now LICENSED AND DROPPED!
So, it’s now official.
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei has been licensed by Del Rey and is now officially dropped. It will be missed by… the 2 members who actually worked on it.
So now, the following will apply:
- We will NOT tell you how and where to download previously released chapters.
- We will NOT have previously released chapters available for download.
- We will NOT support further work on this series.
- We will NOT provide you with raws or tell you where to download them.
- We do NOT care if you live outside of North America and the series is not licensed in your country.
- We do NOT care if you think it’s unfair you don’t get more free manga.
Other than that… have a nice day!

shouldn’t that be sayonara sayonara zetsubou sensei?
i for one will miss the awesome translations by that ever-so-handsome AlphaUltima and the cool awesome quality checking from Loserbait. they’re like the best members in the group. i mean plum can color some nice bewbs but not many can translate a japanese-beyond-japanese manga that contains possibly the most obscure and vague references in a series such that the translation notes would rival the actual manga in pages. Oh well good luck to delray with this mess of a series.

No need to be an asshole about it.

“We do NOT care if you live outside of North America and the series is not licensed in your country.”
Well that’s kind of mean.

so…does that mean the two who are now freed can work on other series?

lol
I don’t know the series and I understand that most important about fansubs it is not who read it… the most important is who do it. If it is licensed in your country, pretty understable, the post.
A very pretty way to say fuck you to thousands of posts of “pleaseeeeeeeeeeee do it”. I liked the post
On the other way… have a nice day…

Well, one of the first purpose of fansub was to provide titles not licensed -meaning you wouldn’t be able to read it otherwise- to the fans.
I know less and less teams think like that, but plumcity is still one of those old mentality team. (and that way we have less chances to get annoyed by company having the rights of the manga)
suwin > that’s unlikely to happen…

i for one am glad it got licensed…i mean honestly this may be the one series that actually gets released faster in stores than the scans ever did…hehe…the only thing i’m concerned about is all of the cultural references…i hope they keep them and dont try to westernize it…that would put me in despair…zetsuboushita!

I never understand why fansubs cries so much about translate licensed material, with all the “licensed” movies (like aXXO the beast ripper in the world) and music in the net they keep bitching about the rites of the companies but hey “have a nice day and don’t forget fuck your self”
May 1st, 2008 at 3:31 am
not *rites is rights
May 6th, 2008 at 9:41 am
one less thing for them to do, its just an excuse which is probably why he put so much effort into writing that
May 18th, 2008 at 12:39 pm
Have a nice day too, asshats.
